Detached single-family
This project began as a commission from the owners with the aim of building a new detached single-family home in Castelldefels. After demolishing the pre-existing buildings on the plot, we developed a project that brought to life a modern single-family house of 130.03 m² of habitable space, focused on build quality and maximum energy efficiency. The defining feature of this construction is its structural system. The building system used is called Eskimohaus, a system exclusive to PAPIK Group, the result of more than fifteen years of experience building sustainable houses, based on a lightweight timber frame. This method, in this case assembled directly on the plot, forms the structure of the building, which is laid out over a ground floor, an upper floor and an accessible roof terrace. In addition to the main house, the plot is completed with the exterior landscaping, including the construction of a swimming pool and a side porch with its own metal structure, fully independent of the building. The philosophy behind the design is sustainability and compliance with the requirements of current regulations (Technical Building Code, CTE), going beyond them in some respects in terms of quality and energy efficiency. The project is conceived to achieve excellent energy efficiency, meeting the consumption limits and demand control. This is achieved through a robust thermal envelope and the integration of climate systems based on aerothermal energy, which ensure interior comfort with minimal environmental impact.
