The Passivhaus Building Platform brings the sector together in Madrid on 20 and 21 November 2014 around three working tracks: technical, market and outreach.
The Passivhaus Building Platform (PEP) organises numerous events across the country throughout the year, with the aim of promoting the Passivhaus standard and energising the high-energy-efficiency construction industry. Regular meetings, site visits and open days form part of a calendar that keeps the sector connected and up to date.
Among all these activities, one event concentrates the sector's attention: the Spanish Conference on Passivhaus (CEPH). It is the annual meeting point that unites every stakeholder involved, from architects and builders to energy consultancies and construction material manufacturers. At PAPIK Group we are members of the Passivhaus Building Platform and, for the past four years, we have taken part in the various activities it organises.
The sixth edition is scheduled for 20 and 21 November 2014 and takes place in Madrid. The programme is structured around three tracks focused on energy retrofit, its adaptation to the Mediterranean climate, and the viability of bringing this type of building to market.
The first track focuses on the Passivhaus standard and energy retrofit, with particular attention to the EuroPHit project and the EnerPHit certification. It also addresses how the Passivhaus standard adapts to warm-summer climates, combining theory with its practical application.
The second track examines the economic and financial aspects of this type of building, an area little explored in Spain until now. The goal is to show how a nearly zero-energy building (nZEB) can be constructed with full guarantees for both developers and buyers.
The third track, aimed at a wider audience, explains what Passivhaus is and how living and working in a passive building actually feels. It identifies the key points for reaching the standard, both in new construction and in retrofit.
For a company that builds passive houses with the Eskimohaus system, gatherings such as the CEPH consolidate shared knowledge and bring technical and regulatory developments closer to the sector as a whole. PAPIK Group's participation in this kind of event reflects a sustained commitment to promoting the standard and applying it rigorously in every project.
