Open house at the first Eskimohaus Passivhaus Plus home in Valldoreix

On Friday 22 September at 17:30, PAPIK Group opens the doors of the first Eskimohaus home certified Passivhaus Plus in Valldoreix, with a guided visit and a technical talk open to the public.

On Friday 22 September, at 17:30, PAPIK Group opens the doors of the first Eskimohaus home certified Passivhaus Plus in Valldoreix. The event offers a close look at what it means to live in a house free of an energy mortgage, with high thermal comfort, high energy efficiency and sustainable, high quality materials.

A finished house, open to visit

Unlike a presentation on paper, the event shows a home that is already finished and habitable. Visitors can walk through the spaces, examine the building solutions and resolve questions directly with the technical team about how a passive house actually performs.

Programme

The event opens with the presence of the President of the EMD of Valldoreix, Juanjo Cortés, and the presentation of a municipal recognition. The technical talk then answers the questions most often raised about this type of construction:

  • What Passivhaus is and where it comes from.
  • How it is achieved, what it costs, what economic saving it brings and when it pays for itself.
  • How long it takes to build a passive house.
  • What an Eskimohaus home is and how it differs from a conventional building.

These questions sit at the heart of the construction system PAPIK Group applies to Eskimohaus homes, where the Passivhaus standard stops being an abstract concept and becomes a house you can walk through.

Practical details

The appointment is Friday 22 September at 17:30, in Valldoreix. Once registration is complete, PAPIK Group provides the exact address. The visit and the talk are free, but require prior registration, and places are limited. Reservations are made at papik.cat/inscripcio-xerrada.

A passive house is best understood when you stand inside it: comfort and efficiency stop being figures and become experience.
